Met Office issues Birmingham snow verdict as city temperatures to hit zero

Forecasters have said that temperatures will drop to a freezing 0C in the region at the start of this week, with it feeling even colder at -3C, according to weather charts.
Temperatures across the West Midlands will remain in single figures this week, with it feeling much colder than the autumnal and mild climate of recent weeks.
The cold drop will mark a major change in climate for Brummies, with potential for travel disruption as a result of plummeting temperatures. Weather bods at the Met Office confirmed in their West Midlands forecast that "showers may fall as snow at times" from Tuesday to Thursday.

Tuesday - Highs of 4C lows of -1C
Wednesday - Highs of 4C lows of -1C
Thursday - Highs of 4C lows of 0C
Friday - Highs of 5C lows of -1C
A Met Office spokesperson said for Monday: "A cloudy and chilly day with rain at times, this turning heavier and more persistent during the afternoon.
"Becoming breezier and milder later. Windier and colder overnight with hill snow. Maximum temperature 9 C." Adding for Tuesday to Thursday: "Turning much colder. Often dry with a mixture of sunny spells and occasional wintry showers.
"The showers may fall as snow at times, with icy patches and frost likely overnight."
