Martin Lewis has issued an update over his TV future - after his wife Lara Lewington's show was AXED by the BBC. BBC and ITV star Mr Lewis is returning to screens with an exciting TV special, plus another series of The Money Show.

The one-off Budget Special is set to air on ITV on Thursday October 31. A new series of The Money Show with Martin Lewis will also begin airing two days earlier on Tuesday 29 October. He asked: "Quick Poll: Thinking of doing a deep dive into energy bills, tariffs, fixes, winter fuel, standing charges and more for the first of the new @itvMLshow series. But I have been talking about it a lot. Should I do it or something else."

It comes after Mr Lewis paid tribute to Lara after she saw her BBC show cruelly axed. Click, a weekly BBC television programme that covered technology news and recent developments in the world of technology and the Internet, was axed, as revealed by Lara today.

In a post on X, she shared: "Here's to the future... some PERSONAL NEWS: After 15 years of covering some of the greatest technology on earth, sadly in a few months BBC Click will gaze into the future no more. I've many exciting plans, documentaries to finish, being AI agony aunt on @lorraine and a compelling future health tech related project coming next year."

Lara expressed her gratitude to the BBC for the opportunity, stating: "The BBC gave us an amazing opportunity to cover the tech that has, and will transform our lives, in ways we could never have imagined. It is a shame to see our dear show come to an end at this moment of AI transformation and incredible acceleration in innovation and possibility, but such are the economic constraints."

She added: "Over the years I have worked with some of the most brilliant, talented, creative and quirky characters that I am happy to call the Click family My co-host @spenley has been the cleverest and most generous colleague I could have dreamt of. As always for any tech journalist, I'm excited about what comes next.."
