The latest edition of the Soweto Derby will have a selection greenlight for Kaizer Chiefs after they escaped pending suspension worries for the fixture.

Chiefs will be the away team on Saturday (15:30) against Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium in what is an eagerly anticipated encounter.

Tuesday’s 3-0 win over TS Galaxy in the Carling Knockout Last 16 was without any further bookings for the two players that were already on three cautions.

Yellow magnet Inacio Miguel was kept in the stands on Tuesday to avoid the risk of having him collect a fourth booking, which would have led to a one-match suspension.

Hewas cautioned in his last domestic match against Stellenbosch FC after earlier cards against Mamelodi Sundowns and Siwelele FC.

Then, with Thabo Moloisane, he started but was then replaced by Zitha Kwinika late in the game as a precautionary measure to avoid his fourth yellow of the season.

Moloisane’s three bookings have come against Stellies, Sundowns and Golden Arrows.

This then makes the two defenders eligible to play in the derby, with Moloisane set to feature in his first.

Amakhosi also have another three players on two yellow cards – Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Pule Mmodi, and Siphesihle Ndlovu.
