Shalulile sends Yanga to CAFCL second round

Former Mamelodi Sundowns star striker Peter Shalulile broke the deadlock and put the host 2-1 up on aggregate as early as the seventh minute.
Sean Connor’s boys regained momentum in the second half and got on level terms through Lebogano Ditsele.
However, Cheikh Toure popped up minutes to the end and bagged the winner to steer Yanga into the second preliminary round of the competition.
Zinnbauer's Al-Hilal advance
Al-Hilal Omdurman snatched a 1-0 victory over Aigle Noir at the Hilal Stadium in Omdurman and progressed to the second preliminary round and edged closer to the group stages.
Buoyed by a commanding first-leg victory a week ago, Hilal held all the cards as the counterparts from Burundi needed to get the wind up their sail to overturn the contest.
It didn’t work out though after a finish late in the first half from Ahmed M’Bracek got the host in front and further clear in the overall sequence of affairs in the contest.
Hilal then grabbed victory to secure a commanding aggregate victory and marched onto the second preliminary round with Aigle eliminated at the first hurdle of the continent’s top club tournament.
Scottland squeeze past Hotspurs
Zimbabwean champions Scottland FC contained Nsingizini Hotspurs to secure a goalless draw and advance to the second preliminary round 1-0 over two legs.
After last weekend’s narrow victory in Harare, the first-timers sort of threaded on thin ice heading to the second-leg but showed a brave face at the home of Hotspurs and clinched a second preliminary round ticket.
Mabasa & Titus off to the second round
Moroccan champions Maghreb FEZ secured passage to the second preliminary round 4-1 on aggregate over Rahimo from Burkina Faso after their first preliminary round second-leg clash.
With no goals in the return-leg, it was of no concern for the North African boys who were able to bank on the heavy sound display at home in the first encounter in Maghreb and safely progressed to the next stage of the continent’s top club showpiece.
