Liverpool pile more misery on struggling Spurs

Spurs were looking to forget about their horrible league form, where they have failed to win or score in their opening four games, while Liverpool were held to a goalless draw by Fulham on Saturday.
The visitors did look lively in the early stages, but it was the Reds who took the lead on 21 minutes via Alexis Mac Allister, who found the top corner with a composed finish from the edge of the box.
The Reds doubled their lead ten minutes after the interval as Cody Gakpo collected a pass from Mac Allister before rifling the ball into the top corner for a two-goal cushion.
However, Spurs gave themselves some hope with 20 minutes to play in the contest when Conor Gallagher got on the end of Mateus Fernandes' corner and nodded home at the far post.
Dominik Szoboszlai ended any hopes of a Spurs comeback in the first minute of stoppage time as he was given time and space before sending a wonderful strike into the back of the net from 25 yards out.
Arsenal thrash Ipswich
Arsenal booked their spot in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a 4-2 thrashing of Ipswich Town.
Gunners coach Mikel Arteta rang the changes after the win over Sunderland last Friday, as teenager Max Dowman, Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres and Mikel Merino were among the players to earn starts.
The visitors raced into a two-goal lead inside the opening 16 minutes thanks to goals from Dowman and Madueke, with Ipswich unable to lay a glove on their opponents.
Arsenal carried that momentum into the second half as Dowman completed his brace two minutes in to make it 3-0, before Merino got in on the act with his first goal of the campaign.
There would be no clean sheet for the Gunners as Ipswich bagged a consolation just after the hour mark, with Anis Mehmeti finding the back of the net to give the home supporters something to shout about, while former Gunners striker Chuba Akpom bagged Ipswich's second goal in time added on.
