Magesi setting the pace in promotion chase

Leicesterford City jumped into third-place following a 1-0 victory over Midlands Wanderers at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.
Veteran Sipho Zwane netted the game's only goal in the first half to give City victory.
It is a third successive victory for City, who leaped from sixth to third spot, as Midlands dropped one position 12th spot on the table.
Real Native 2-0 Venda FC
Real Native’s strong start to the season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship continued with a 2-0 win over Venda Football Club at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Friday.
Goals by Lungelo Dondolo in the first-half from the penalty spot and Leletu Skelem at the start of the second period was sufficient for the Believers on the day.
It is a third successive victory for the Believers who remain in second-place on the table, as Venda suffered a fourth successive defeat and slumped to the bottom with no wins.
Highbury 0-0 Gomora United
Highbury and Gomora United shared the spoils in a goalless draw in a keenly contested six-pointer right down at the Nelson Mandela University Stadium.
Both teams were looking to bounce back from defeats in their last encounters, with United going down to Leicesterford City before Highbury succumbed to league leaders Magesi FC last weekend.
In the end, there was no separating but instead each team grabbed a point which saw Vusimuzi Vilakazi’s men dropped to fourth-place as the visitors stay in eight spot.
North West University 0-0 Cape Town City
Cape Town City’s winning run of form was halted following a goalless draw with the North West University at the Fanie du Toit Sports Ground on Saturday.
After a winless start to the season, City managed to get into gear with back-to-back victories over Hungry Lions and Hope FC as the new boys continue chasing their first win of the campaign.

Orbit College’s winless start continued following a 1-0 loss to league debutants Hope FC at the Athlone Stadium.
The winning goal came from from Manelisi Ralasi in second-half stoppage time as Hope bounce back from last weekend's derby loss.
