Pitso's Kenya alert: Benni will never allow us to win

Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane says Benni McCarthy will do everything in his power to stop his country of birth from beating Kenya in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

McCarthy is head coach of the Kenyan national team and has on several occasions in the past been pushed by fans to take over the Bafana head coach position.

South Africa will face the Harambee Stars in back-to-back AFCON qualifiers in their next FIFA break, on November 13 and November 17, respectively.

Mosimane said he was aware of how crucial a win is going to be for McCarthy in these back-to-back matches.

“Football is not how you start; it's how you finish. So, I'm a very conservative coach, and I have nerves of steel, you know, because we still have to qualify for AFCON,” Mosimane said on SABC News.

“It looks good now, but we've got Kenya back-to-back, so that's where everything will be [clearer]. And Benni will never allow us to win, you know that.”
