One more hero

Goichi Suda (aka Suda51), head honcho of developer Grasshopper Manufacture, has given fans fresh hope of more to come for the cult favourite No More Heroes series.

Speaking to Famitsu as part of a wider interview, he's asked about No More Heroes as it's approaching its 20th anniversary in 2027.

Asked if there's anything being planned for the occasion, Suda51 says his team and publisher Marvelous are indeed cooking up something. (Quotations machine translated.)

"Marvelous is aware of this, so we definitely want to do something together for the 20th anniversary," he says. "We're planning to deliver something special, so please look forward to it. Travis Touchdown will definitely be back!"

He didn't provide any further details, but it sounds like there's something for fans to look forward to in the new year.

The original No More Heroes was released in Japan in December 2007, and was later brought to western audiences in 2008.

There have been several games in the series, with the latest being No More Heroes 3, released for PS5 and PS4 in 2022.

Anyway, there's not a lot to go on here, but it seems fans of the franchise have got something to look forward to in the near future.
