Gym trainer booked for sexually assaulting minor in Hyderabad

The trainer allegedly assaulted her on multiple occasions over the course of one year by promising to marry her.

Hyderabad: A 28-year-old gym trainer has been booked for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl on multiple occasions, Banjara Hills Police said on Friday, October 30.

The accused, Mallela Ravi, reportedly works as a fitness trainer at a popular gym in Banjara Hills. The victim had joined the gym in June 2025 when she was still a minor.

The trainer allegedly assaulted her on multiple occasions over the course of one year by promising to marry her.

A complaint was lodged with Madhuranagar Police on Thursday and was transferred to Banjara Hills Police Station. A Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case has been registered.

Ravi is currently absconding.
