Officer-involved shooting under investigation in North Las Vegas

North Las Vegas Police shot at a person amid a crash in the city Wednesday afternoon, according to an emailed statement.

“The North Las Vegas Police Department is aware of reports regarding a traffic collision in the area of East Gowan Road and North 5th Street,” public information officer Roberto Vaquera said. “During that incident, an officer-involved shooting occurred.”

Vaquera also said that the incident was under investigation and that there was no additional information to share as of Wednesday evening.

“We will share more information as it becomes available,” Vaquera said.
