LETTER: Inappropriate behavior in local schools

A Clark County School District employee was recently arrested on a charge of lewdness for meeting with a 13-year-old student for the purpose of kissing (Wednesday Review-Journal). Ugh. Nice that he was arrested, but the story said he had been warned on three recent occasions for inappropriate behavior with underage students. Why did it take four incidents with young students to prompt a call to authorities?

So much for “it’s about the children,” preferably stated with a Katharine Hepburn quivering voice.
