CCSD elementary school teacher accused of battery, district says

A Las Vegas elementary school teacher has been arrested and charged with battery on a protected person after an investigation at the school.

Marianna Wynn, 63, was arrested Friday after an investigation at Ruben P. Diaz Elementary School, Clark County School District said in a release Monday.

Wynn, a teacher at Diaz, has been employed by the district since July 2024.

“Per the negotiated agreement with the bargaining unit, she will be placed on paid leave,” CCSD said.
