LETTER: An Iran deal, any day now

As the saying goes, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Depending on the reporting source, President Donald Trump has claimed on about 38 to 50 occasions that a negotiated deal with Iran is nearly done. That’s roughly two to three times each week, for every week since the United States made the first strike. Why would anyone trust what he says? It’s not leadership, it’s incompetence.
