No. 6 Palo Verde rolls Canyon Springs in girls soccer — PHOTOS

Olivia Gastwirth scored five goals and added two assists to lead Palo Verde’s girls soccer team to a 11-0 home win over Canyon Springs Monday night.

Caitlynn Nick added two goals and four assists for Palo Verde, which is ranked No. 6 in the Review-Journal’s girls soccer rankings.

Angelie Mendoza had two goals and an assists for the Panthers (1-0) and goalie Jovie Wikler recorded a shutout.

Palo Verde next hosts No. Bishop Gorman at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday. Canyon Springs (0-1) next hosts Mojave on Aug. 28.
