The Vegas Golden Knights defenseman will play in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday two days after taking a puck to the face.
McNabb left in the first period of Game 2 after a puck hit him just above the nose. He was taken to a local medical facility and did not play the rest of the Knights’ 4-3 overtime loss.
The series is tied at a game apiece.
The 35-year-old is wearing a bubble around his face and will give it a go. McNabb traveled back with the team, eliminating any potential thoughts of a concussion or other head injuries.
The Original Misfit is the Knights’ all-time leader in games played in the regular season (647) and third in playoff games (116).
