Dorofeyev’s game-winner gives Golden Knights win in Game 5

Pavel Dorofeyev scored twice, including the game-winner 4:10 into overtime to give the Vegas Golden Knights a 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks in Game 5 of their second-round series at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday.

Dorofeyev, who scored a power-play goal in the first period, scored on a rebound for the first playoff overtime goal of his career.

The Knights lead the series 3-2 and will try to close it out Thursday at Honda Center in Anaheim.

Tomas Hertl, after scoring his first goal since March 4 in Game 4, broke a tie 4:48 into the third period with his first 5-on-5 goal since Feb. 1.

But Ducks defenseman Olen Zellweger tied it 2-2 with 3:05 remaining with a wrist shot that beat goaltender Carter Hart glove side.

Hart made 34 saves and improved to 6-0 in overtime in his playoff career.

The Knights played most of the game without defenseman Brayden McNabb, who was given a game misconduct nine minutes into the game after an interference call that injured Ducks center Ryan Poehling.

Dorofeyev left in the second period after blocking a shot from Ducks defenseman Jackson LaCombe with the inside of his right knee.

The Knights were already without captain Mark Stone (lower body) and defenseman Jeremy Lauzon (upper body).

This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
