Las Vegas police homicide unit investigates shooting in east valley

The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Section is investigating a shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning in the east Las Vegas Valley.

Police said they received multiple reports of gunfire at approximately 4:29 a.m. in the area of the 4500 block of East Ogden Avenue, near Charleston and Lamb boulevards.

Responding officers arrived and located a person suffering from gunshot wounds.

Authorities said the homicide unit is expected to release additional information later this morning.
