Faith Lutheran’s softball team, No. 1 in the Review-Journal’s Class 4A rankings, defeated No. 2 Desert Oasis 5-1 Thursday at Faith Lutheran.

Freshman Madison Pitts earned a complete-game victory for the Crusaders (12-1, 4-0 4A Desert League), allowing two hits and one run with 15 strikeouts.

Faith Lutheran next will host Cheyenne at 4 p.m. Monday. Desert Oasis (6-1, 4-1) plays at Bonanza at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
