Raiders targeted by Chargers, other teams in NFL schedule release videos

The Las Vegas Raiders are a frequent target on NFL schedule release day, and it was no different Thursday.

Several teams made jokes about the Raiders in their schedule videos on social media, with the Los Angeles Chargers taking the biggest swings at their rivals.

The Chargers’ social media team is notorious for going after the Raiders and did it again this year in their schedule release video based on the video game “Halo.”

The Raiders visit the Chargers in Week 2, and the video shows “Heismendoza” has entered the game as he attends a Raider Nation Meet ’N Greet.

The camera then switches to show “Bradyvision” with the timestamp 20:09:31:14. Those are the scores of the Chargers’ victories over the Raiders in 2025.

The location is the Black Hole, which is filled with what appears to be jail cells filled with mecha robots purported to be Raiders fans. On one of the cell walls is spray painted “AE + TB,” a reference to Alix Earle and Tom Brady.

The Raiders minority owner had a brief fling with Earle, a social media influencer, at the beginning of 2026 before they separated.

As the video continues, KirkCuzzo sent a friend request, a reference to new Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins.

The Chargers also referenced Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby and the trade that was called off by the Baltimore Ravens. In the Week 10 section of the video, the robots must “pass the physical” challenge, but it’s noted that it went “wide right” — a reference to how a missed field goal ended the Ravens’ season short of the playoffs last year.

The Raiders’ statement about the doomed deal then appears: “The Baltimore Ravens have backed out of our trade agreement for Maxx Crosby. We have no further comment at this time.”

Later in the Chargers’ video for the Week 14 game at Allegiant Stadium, “Heismendoza” returns, this time in the Control Center.

On a computer screen is a button to “Meet Fans” and when “Heismendoza” pushes the X, the jail cell doors open, releasing the purported mecha Raiders fans. They attack “Heismendoza” in the Control Center and beat him.

Other teams on the 2026 schedule also took their opportunity to poke fun at the Raiders.

Near the end of the Cardinals’ video, which featured a video conference call with theIn mascots of Arizona’s opponents, Raider Rusher is shown fawning over Fernando Mendoza’s LinkedIn profile.

That seemed to be a frequent joke, as the San Francisco 49ers’ video also made a subtle reference to Mendoza’s profile with the LinkedIn logo next to a Grateful Dead-themed poster announcing the Week 9 matchup between the former Bay Area neighbors.

The Chiefs’ video was based on the QVC home shopping channel and featured the Excavator 5800 shovel selling for $7.77.

“That really gets down there, too, deep, deep below the surface to uncover all sorts of hidden secrets,” said the character played by actor Rob Riggle.

“It will dig up all your red flags,” actress Lisa Gilroy’s character responds, which is a reference to the urban legend that a Kansas City Chiefs flag was buried under Allegiant Stadium by a construction worker.

In the Los Angeles Rams’ video based on the movie “Napoleon Dynamite,” a Raiders priority mail package is shown with a return to sender sticker.

The New Orleans Saints’ weather report video showed a forecast for the southwest, including the Raiders and Cardinals, with “extreme heat, scattered hope and no clear direction on the horizon. The chance of any big change out there? Unlikely, because nothing ever fully develops there.”
