Two suffer life-threatening injuries in Saturday afternoon crash

Two people were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash Saturday afternoon in the east Las Vegas Valley, police said.

The Metropolitan Police Department said it responded to a call at 12:53 p.m. near the intersection of Bonanza Road and Marion Drive, west of North Nellis Boulevard, after a car and SUV collided.

Police said the crash prompted law enforcement to close traffic in all directions.
