Nevada Preps picks: Week 5 high school football predictions

The battle for the Superintendents Cup for the 30 independent Clark County School District football programs begins this week.

Many of the CCSD independent teams begin league play this week.

The 30 teams are split into three divisions. Each division has two five-team leagues. The top two teams in each league will be eligible to play for the Superintendents Cup in their respective division, which will be decided at the end of October.

High school reporters Alex Wright and Jeff Wollard predict the winners of select football games each week.

All high school football games involving CCSD teams will be played on Thursday this week because of the Rosh Hashanah holiday. Some private, charter and smaller classification schools will play games on Friday and Saturday.
