LETTER: Las Vegans should quit complaining about development, water

by · Las Vegas Review-Journal

I read how developers purchased “public land” to build 6,000 homes in Southern Nevada. How much water will these homes require? Also, when you keep adding the number of people to a city like we have been doing for decades, it will affect power and gas. Thus the need for these utilities to expand facilities and purchase resources elsewhere.

I believe we should quit complaining about the rising costs of utilities or how we don’t have enough water and take responsibility for putting ourselves into this mess. It is the people who were elected that allowed this to go on for decades.

Your vote does count and will affect future generations. So don’t just accept the marketing propaganda put out there hourly. Research the facts.
