After former President Donald Trump survived a second assassination attempt — this time, at his golf course in Palm Beach, Florida — the FBI launched an investigation of the suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh.
Now, according to Fox News and Forbes, more details are emerging about him — including a disturbing letter found in a box.
The handwritten read, "This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster."

The letter, addressed to "the world," went on to say, "I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job."
Routh's attorney, according to Forbes, "did not immediately respond to a request for comment."
The first assassination attempt against Trump occurred in July at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
But the suspect in that incident, unlike Routh, was killed.
