Palo Pinto County added to Texas disaster declaration after tornado damage

by NBCDFW Staff · 5 NBCDFWTexas Gov. Greg Abbott added Palo Pinto County to the state’s recent disaster declaration after an EF-3 tornado hit the county last week, causing several injuries and extensive damage.
An EF-3 tornado can bring winds of up to 145 mph.
The Palo Pinto County Sheriff’s Office confirmed several people were injured as a result of the storm. The sheriff’s office also reported extensive damage in the county.
Abbott said in a statement that more counties could be added to the disaster declaration.
