Dallas Cowboys struggle in season opener against Giants on Sunday Night Football

Dak Prescott turned the ball over, and the defense struggled to get stops in the second half.

The Dallas Cowboys are 0-1 after falling to the New York Giants 28-20.

Dak Prescott threw for 175 yards and two touchdowns, one to CeeDee Lamb and one to Javonte Williams each. Prescott also threw a second-quarter interception that led to a Giants 14-7 lead.

The Cowboys were unable to find much success on the ground, averaging less than 4 yards per carry and less than 70 yards total.

Lamb led the way with 44 yards. George Pickens chipped in 28 on three catches.

The Giants were able to run and throw on the Cowboys' new-look defense with much success.

Jaxson Dart threw for 230 yards, including three second-half touchdowns.

Cam Skattebo added 78 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground.

The Cowboys defense recorded two total sacks, but could not get the Giants off the field in the second half.

The Cowboys' home opener is next Sunday against the 0-1 Washington Commanders.

The Giants are headed to Los Angeles to take on the Rams.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Giants are both 1-0.
