Person dead, families displaced as severe weather moves through North Texas

According to Wise County EMS, a home was destroyed along Cumberland Trail. First responders received calls around Wise County of multiple people trapped in homes with multiple injuries.
The severe weather prompted a significant emergency response in the Runaway Bay area from multiple fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and Wise County EMS units.
At least 20 families have been displaced, according to authorities.
Authorities are strongly urging people to avoid the Runaway Bay area for the safety of the public and first responders.
