2 dead, 9 critically hurt in Brown University shooting, manhunt underway

A deadly shooting at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, sparked a massive manhunt Saturday.
An emergency alert posted to the school's website said the shooter was near the Barus & Holley Engineering building. Brown University officials say this is an active and ongoing situation. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and ATF, have responded, and the president was tracking what happened.
Officials later confirmed that two people died, and nine others were hurt. Seven remain in critical condition as of Saturday night. There is no suspect in custody and the area around Brown was under a shelter-in-place order.
