Letter to the editor: The danger was in doing nothing

OPINION:

The president’s naysayers are a Greek chorus of critics spanning from conservative isolationists encrusted with an ignorance of realpolitik to liberal media ravaged by Trump derangement syndrome and jealous of the president’s ability to act kinetically, in contrast with Obama/Biden paralytic weakness (“‘Amateur hour’: Pete Buttigieg criticizes Trump over war planning, fundraising off war dead,” Web, March 15).

Their claims of proximate danger to America because of the Iran war are exactly backward. The danger is in doing nothing as theocratic lunatics continue to weaponize with atomic bombs and modern delivery systems.

The Democrats are symbolized now by a gargoylized gender-fluid donkey featuring a Guernica-style facial rictus.
