Letter to the editor: Patriots won’t allow America to go to the socialists

People complain that President Trump’s narcissistic impulses and approach have weakened the Republican Party and his own presidency. But if you or I were the target of daily hate and ridicule, we too would have to find a means of defending ourselves and our country.
Unfortunately, the Democrats are losing sight of the fact that the Republican Party has always stood tall for freedom, a robust national defense, an “America First” trade policy, fiscal responsibility so very much more that benefit our country and all of its citizens.
Now, with the midterms nearly here, Democratic contenders are preparing for the presidential 2028 race. They seem confident that Mr. Trump’s declining popularity is exactly where they’ve always wanted it to be. But they should think again.

President Trump, the GOP and all believers in American values have no intention of giving way to anti-American politics or politicians through any type of socialist movement. There is only one America and we intend to keep it as the Founders intended.
