Ms. Leavitt said she would bring Fox News “the unique perspective and candor that defined my tenure with the Trump administration.”
She departed her role as President Trump’s press secretary in August after roughly 20 months on the job, choosing to leave to spend more time with her growing family.
Her exit announcement came just weeks after returning from maternity leave following the birth of her second child.
Ms. Leavitt called the role the “honor and adventure of a lifetime.”
Since leaving the James S. Brady Briefing Room, Ms. Leavitt has not strayed far from the GOP spotlight, returning to Trump-aligned super PAC MAGA Inc., where she was the political fundraiser’s spokesperson before joining the Trump 2024 campaign.
