Letter to the editor: What have the Democrats done for you lately?

Every two years, Democrats campaign to the left in the primaries but run as moderates in the general election. They promise to work with Republicans and lower the cost of living, but have they done so?
The Working Families Tax Plan included no tax on tips and overtime and tax relief for seniors. The lower taxes on small business, opportunity zone incentives and full expensing of equipment became made permanent. The expiring lower tax rates became permanent.
Not one Democrat in The House or Senate voted for the bill. Democrats voted to raise your cost of living.

The Democrats are running on “affordability.” So where was their outrage in 2022, when, under President Biden, inflation was 9.1% and gas prices averaged $2.90 a gallon? They didn’t care.
Democrats closed the Keystone XL Pipeline on day one. They declared war on fossil fuels while promoting the Green New Deal. They allowed millions of unvetted illegals into our country, causing hardships to our education, medical, housing and social services.
Democrats support sanctuary cities, which cause high crime. They promote men in women’s sports and locker rooms. They blamed Republicans for healthcare problems but Obamacare was a Democratic bill passed by only Democrats. This is the Democratic Party.
Republicans will investigate and prosecute fraud, as they are doing now. Democrats talk a good game but their socialist candidates, voting record and extremist social media posts tell us the truth. Republicans aren’t perfect, but they stand for common sense and love America.
