Letter to the editor: Hamas lovers, the terrorists want you dead too

· The Washington Times

OPINION:

On the anniversary of the horrific Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas massacres in Israel, it was depressing and angering to experience the reactions of a great number of people here in the U.S. Many of them continue to chant “From the river to the sea” in support of Hamas.

A large number of them are students at our most prestigious universities. They evidently believe that the horrors committed against Israeli Jews makes Hamas terrorists heroes. The left wing in our country approves of and sides with Hamas and other Islamist terrorists, who are determined to destroy Israel and every Jew in it (and everywhere else, for that matter).

Why is this and why all the hatred? Hamas supporters who cheer the terrible acts committed by the terrorists in the name of their religion three years ago are ignorantly favoring one ancient religion they do not understand over another ancient religion they also do not understand.

What do our feckless Hamas supporters believe gives them the right or knowledge to decide which side is “right,” and to praise the murderous acts of one against the other?

It is high time for these people — most of whom generally disdain all religions other than Islam — to study and understand rather than mindlessly scream popular chants to show their enthusiasm for murderers.

With things going the way they are, Hamas lovers will soon discover that those they mindlessly praise today will happily slit their throats tomorrow.
