Yes, illegal aliens do vote in U.S. elections

Last week, the Justice Department charged 16 people across multiple states with something that both progressives and the mainstream media repeatedly deny ever happens: voter fraud.
According to the Justice Department, eight noncitizens residing in Texas were charged, while other cases included defendants in Idaho, Georgia, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New Jersey and Michigan. The cases include a Venezuelan DACA recipient in Georgia accused of voting nine times over 16 years and a Mexican national in Idaho who falsely claimed U.S. citizenship to register to vote and then voted in May 2022 and November 2024.
“If you are not allowed to vote in our elections, you shouldn’t,” the Justice Department warned in its announcement Friday. “And if you do, that’s a CRIME. This isn’t a partisan issue!”
The Justice Department’s Fraud Division under the Trump administration has now charged 50 noncitizens with illegal voting in what is likely the tip of a much larger iceberg.
The Department of Homeland Security is also conducting investigations. Secretary Mullin told Fox News the department has more than 1,620 open cases and has made 151 arrests. He said authorities are looking into more than 300,000 suspected cases, a figure that continues to grow.
Earlier in the week, Homeland Security Investigations arrested a Nigerian noncitizen in Lynn, Massachusetts, after she illegally voted in several U.S. elections, including the 2024 presidential election and 2022 midterms, and falsely attested to being a U.S. citizen multiple times in order to register to vote.
“Every single vote … that we talk about, that was at the hands of an illegal, canceled out a citizen that was legally registered and able to vote,” Mr. Mullin said.
Still, blue states are refusing to cooperate with the Trump administration in its efforts to clean state voter rolls and remove those ineligible to vote. The Homeland Security Department has a database that states can use to cross-check their voter rolls against citizenship status, yet blue states remain defiant, refusing to use it.

In July, after President Trump gave a speech accusing Democratic-run states, including New Jersey, of having large numbers of noncitizens registered to vote, 23 Democratic governors called him a liar.
“It’s deeply alarming that President Trump continues to try to undermine free and fair elections. No amount of lies and conspiracy theories can change the fact that our country’s elections have repeatedly been proven to be safe and secure,” read the rebuke, formally led by Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.
New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill signed on to the letter.
Yet, days after the president’s speech, Ms. Sherrill was forced to announce a “serious software error” in New Jersey’s Department of Motor Vehicles system that led to thousands of illegal immigrants being registered to vote from June 2023 to June 2024. New Jersey is still not cooperating with federal officials to investigate and resolve the matter.
Mr. Trump is correct to pick this fight. Voter integrity is key to free and fair elections. Every time a noncitizen votes illegally in this country, it cancels out a legal citizen’s ballot. Congress must pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act to ensure noncitizens are stripped from U.S. voter rolls.

Until that happens, the Trump administration is aggressively pursuing cases itself and is proving voter fraud is real, one arrest at a time.
