Joe Rogan signs new $250 million deal with Spotify
by Juliet La Sala · The Washington TimesPodcaster Joe Rogan and Spotify have signed a new multiyear licensing agreement for “The Joe Rogan Experience,” extending a partnership that began in 2020 for the podcast that has been the most listened-to podcast in the U.S. since at least 2019.
Mr. Rogan is set to receive an estimated $250 million over the length of the contract, The Wall Street Journal reported. The new deal is similar to the one he signed with Spotify in early 2024. Under the agreement, Spotify will continue to handle ad sales and licensing for the show, which is available across multiple services.
“The partnership with Spotify has been an amazing fit, and they’re incredible to work with,” Mr. Rogan said in a statement. “I’m extremely happy and excited to continue with them for years to come.”

The length of the deal was not disclosed.
“The Joe Rogan Experience” came to Spotify in September 2020 and later became exclusive to the platform. The show has been Spotify’s most-followed podcast since the partnership began, with 18 million followers. Mr. Rogan ended that exclusivity in 2024.
It was the most-listened-to show on Spotify, YouTube and Apple Podcasts last year.
Since launching in December 2009, the podcast has produced more than 2,500 episodes, each averaging two to three hours. Guests have included politicians, comedians, athletes, actors, musicians, authors, scientists and entrepreneurs.

Mr. Rogan endorsed Donald Trump for president in 2024, shortly after hosting him on the show. Recently, he has been more critical of the president.
