ABC to air Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’ in mid-July: Sources
by Juliet La Sala · The Washington TimesABC plans to air in mid-July the latest season of “The Bachelorette” featuring Taylor Frankie Paul, which the network suspended this year over domestic violence incidents involving the reality TV personality, news outlets report, citing production sources.
No final plans have been confirmed. ABC pulled the entire, completed season in March, just days before its scheduled premiere, after TMZ posted a video of Ms. Paul arguing with her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen, and throwing a chair near her young daughter.
Production on Ms. Paul’s other reality series, Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” was also paused around the same time due to concerns over the couple’s volatile relationship.
Despite the season being pulled from the ABC schedule, editors never stopped cutting the episodes — a sign, sources say, that the network kept the door open for an eventual premiere.
Ms. Paul has since made several social media posts about personal growth and healing, and network executives have noticed her efforts to repair her public image, news outlets report.
Ms. Paul and Mr. Mortensen currently have mutual restraining orders against one another and have been ordered by a Utah judge to resolve their custody dispute.
