Commanders’ Chenal backboarded, carted off with neck injury
by Liam Griffin · The Washington TimesCommanders linebacker Leo Chenal was strapped onto a backboard and carted off the field following a scary collision in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
After several minutes on the ground with teammates surrounding him, Chenal raised his fist. The Washington crowd sent him off with a burst of cheers.
The Commanders quickly ruled Chenal out for the remainder of the game with a neck injury.

The extent of the injury was not immediately disclosed on Sunday afternoon.
Washington was already playing without starting linebacker Frankie Luvu, who has missed back-to-back games with a groin injury.
Second-year linebacker Kain Medrano replaced Chenal during Sunday’s game. The Commanders took a 17-10 lead into the halftime break.
