Letter to the editor: End all negotiations with the Chinese Communist Party

· The Washington Times

OPINION:

Evil has a unique ability to make good people forget who they are. Oftentimes, this metamorphosis occurs over centuries. However, when we confront pure evil face to face, the transformation can transpire in a mere moment.

I call on President Trump to resist the lies of President Xi in Beijing and not be swayed by the allure of what the Chinese tyrant refers to as a “grander investment” in America.

A further financial stake Mr. Xi in our democratic republic means diminished freedom for the American people. We cannot rely upon Chinese diplomatic efforts against Iran, as Chins covertly support the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as well as openly fuels the oil industry, which funds terrorism globally.

The Chinese government supports the antisemitic sentiments of the Iranians, and that alone should disqualify them from partaking in a diplomatic discussion.

In every negotiation, there is potential support given and an “ask” of each party. China will offer to serve as the global peacemaker that its impressive propaganda machine purports it to be. In return, Mr. Xi will privately ask Mr. Trump to stand down so China can continue its communist quest to destroy the lives of the Taiwanese people.

This is a dangerous deal and one which Mr. Trump must reject — or his noble legacy will be severely diminished.

Until the Chinese people reclaim their true republic, we cannot trust the words and deeds of a regime that prides itself on domination atop an unsure and dangerous foundation of lies. As Americans, we are the strongest we have been in decades with President Trump’s leadership and we must not forget our democratic allies as it relates to combating Iran, Russia and all other foes.

We must cease all negotiations with the Chinese Communist Party. Ahead of America’s 250th anniversary of our sacred independence, we must declare sovereignty and reject a dark version of posterity controlled by Mr. Xi. If we are to thrive for another 250 years, may we garner the intestinal fortitude to fight evil in our time.
