GES interdicts Bole SHS teacher in viral video
by Armani Brooklyn · GHANA PAGEThe Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted a teacher of Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a student.
The decision comes after a video showing inappropriate conduct between the teacher and the student surfaced on social media and quickly attracted public attention.
In a press release issued on June 16, 2026, GES said it had become aware of the disturbing video and had immediately initiated investigations into the matter. According to the Service, the teacher has been interdicted in line with its rules and regulations while investigations continue.
“Pending the outcome of the investigations, Management directs that the teacher is interdicted in accordance with GES rules and regulations,” the statement said.
GES strongly condemned any form of amorous relationship between teachers and students and reiterated its commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism within the education sector.

The Service further emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards sexual misconduct and cautioned all staff members to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct at all times.
Management assured the public that the safety, protection, and well-being of students remain a top priority and indicated that appropriate disciplinary and legal action would be taken against anyone found culpable after investigations are completed.
“The public is assured that the matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness,” the statement added.
GES noted that further updates may be provided as investigations into the incident progress.
