Ghanaian politician, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has stated clearly that not only is it an offence to say things that have the potential to breach peace, but it is also an offence to share such content.

Speaking in an interview with Joy FM monitored by GH Page, the Minister of State for Government Communications said that “Yes, if you help to spread incendiary content, it is an offence”.

He explained that “There’s a difference between insulting the President or saying unpleasant things about the President or criticising the government and saying things that have the potential to breach the peace”.

According to him, “When you do that, law enforcement anywhere in the world will take you on and take you through due process.”

Meanwhile, the minister noted that “In any event, a court will determine whether the person is guilty or not,” adding that “There is no sane jurisdiction in this world where that is permitted”.
