Covington man arrested in homicide investigation
by Seattle Times staff · The Seattle TimesA 41-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death of a family member at a Covington home.
King County Jail logs show he was booked Tuesday morning for investigation of homicide.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call Friday morning in the 25000 block of 18th Place Southeast in Covington and found one person dead. They also found a second person injured, who was taken to MultiCare Covington Medical Center.
After investigating the scene, the sheriff’s office named the injured person as the suspect. King County Deputy Mike Mellis said deputies did not have probable cause to arrest him at the scene.
The King County medical examiner’s office had not released the identity of the person who was killed as of Tuesday morning.
