July 29 (UPI) -- A Dutch tourist died after a sightseeing boat capsized during a Macuco Safari excursion on the Iguazu River inside Brazil's Iguazu National Park, prompting authorities to suspend the attraction's operations and begin an investigation.

A 26-year-old Dutchman died on Tuesday during a boat trip near the Iguaçu Falls in Brazil. The boat, with six Dutch tourists and a captain on board, capsized. Two Dutch tourists were admitted to the hospital, local media reported.Witnesses told local media that the boat capsized at the start of the trip, at around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, local time. The fire department ws alerted for a search and rescue operation at 12:20 p.m.
