Tanker, two cargo ships collide off Norway; One of the vessels is Dutch
A tanker and two cargo ships collided off the Norwegian coast on Sunday. One of the ships is Dutch. The other two are a Norwegian and a Faroese. According to Norwegian media, the vessels amount to a gross tonnage of 2,000 to 2,5000 tons.The nighttime collision took place near Ålesund, which is 365 kilometers northwest of Oslo. The cause of the crash is reportedly not yet clear to the investigators.Norwegian maritime authorities launched a major rescue operation, but no one had to be rescued from any of the ships. There were also no injuries reported.
