Rents rose by average 4.4% this year; Lower increase than last year
Rents in the Netherlands increased in July of this year, though the increase was smaller than in the previous two years, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) reported. On average, rental prices for homes rose by 4.4 percent compared to the same month last year.The central government announces the maximum allowable rent increase annually on July 1st. Many landlords implement this percentage-based increase that same month. Rents increased by 4.9 percent in July 2025, and by 5.4 percent in July 2024.
