The United Kingdom will rejoin the European student exchange program Erasmus+ in 2027, the two blocs announced. That means that, for the first time since Brexit, Dutch and other European students will be able to go study in the United Kingdom without extra costs. The same goes for British students wanting to study in the European Union.

The UK left in December 2020 as part of the post-Brexit trade deal with the EU negotiated by Boris Johnson.

The UK will rejoin the European Union’s Erasmus student exchange programme from 2027

The European Union and the UK on Wednesday agreed to let British students rejoin the Erasmus+ programme in a symbolic step toward improving relations after Brexit. 

Ministers insisted the deal is 'fair' despite confirming the eye-watering cost for the first year alone.
