London's Gatwick Airport, the second busiest airport in Britain, reopened a terminal after a security alert earlier in the day forced its evacuation and caused travel disruption for thousands of people.

Located over 48 klilometres south of London, the Gatwick Airport is the second busiest in Britain.

A bomb disposal team was deployed to the terminal "as a precaution," Sussex Police said, as it warned the response was "causing significant disruption".
