"Destination weddings in Greece have become a high-value tourism product, with the average cost reaching €157,000–€160,000 before VAT. According to a Focus Bari survey presented at the Destination Weddings Tourism Forum 2026, 77% of planned weddings involve foreign couples, mainly from the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Israel and the UAE. The sector can contribute up to €2.5 billion annually to the Greek economy."
