Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently on an official visit to India, held talks with the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The meeting took place this morning (June 2) in New Delhi, India, between President U Min Aung Hlaing and RBI Governor H.E. Shri Sanjay Malhotra. During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation, expanding collaboration across various sectors, and improving banking cooperation to enable faster and smoother payment systems for trade activities.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reaffirmed India’s support for Myanmar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity during talks with Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing in New Delhi. According to a joint statement released during U Min Aung Hlaing’s official visit to India, the two leaders discussed regional and global issues, bilateral relations, security cooperation, trade, infrastructure and connectivity projects during their June 1 meeting.
