President U Min Aung Hlaing, who is on a state-level friendship visit to Cambodia at the invitation of King Norodom Sihamoni, met with Cambodian National Assembly President Samdech KHUON Sudary on the afternoon of September 11, local time. The meeting was held at the National Assembly in Phnom Penh, where the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation.

Myanmar’s military-backed president is in Cambodia to meet its leaders.

Thailand’s newly appointed ambassador to Myanmar, H.E. Mr. Tor Saralamba, presented his credentials to President U Min Aung Hlaing at the Presidential Residence in Nay Pyi Taw on August 28, according to a statement. Before the ceremony, Saralamba was accorded a ceremonial welcome, including a salute to the flags of Myanmar and Thailand and the playing of the two countries’ national anthems by an honour guard.
