The Myanmar Embassy in Kuala Lumpur has announced that it will begin processing and issuing recommendation letters for Myanmar workers in Malaysia who wish to return to Myanmar on leave, starting from May 1. According to a statement released on April 29, the embassy will verify employer-issued leave permission letters and provide official endorsements. The move follows a directive issued on April 28 by the Department of Labour under Myanmar’s Ministry of Labour. The embassy stated that applications will be accepted on working days beginning May 1.

Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand who plan to return temporarily to Myanmar are now able to apply for recommendation letters at a fee of 150 baht per document, according to an announcement released by the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok on April 29.
