Pedestrians violating crossing rules to be fined Up to Ks30,000 starting May 14
Pedestrians who fail to use designated crossings such as zebra crossings, overpasses, and underground walkways will be fined starting from May 14, according to the Yangon Region Transport Authority (YRTC). The YRTC stated that action will be taken against pedestrians who violate traffic safety and vehicle management regulations. Under the law, offenders can be fined up to 30,000 kyats.
